What happens when Forgetting Sarah Marshall meets RuPaul’s Drag Race and Reading Rainbow?Okay, that’s not actually the premise of the podcast, but LeVar Burton, Kristen Bell and RuPaul are all important pieces in the puzzle that is Deadly Manners.
The all-star cast of this fictional podcast takes on a pretty traditional murder mystery premise: guests at a party get trapped in by a storm, and people start to die. While there is an element of suspense to get you ramped up for Halloween, the podcast doesn’t take itself too seriously. Generally the tone is a little more exaggerated, filled with dark humour and cliched characters.
LeVar Burton’s narration will also make you feel like you’re sitting on your living room floor in front of the TV in 1996. That feeling alone is worth giving Deadly Manners a listen.
