Wondering what a presidential impeachment feels like?
Journalism has never been as threatened in the United-States as it is right now, which makes it extremely important to revisit why it’s essential to a democracy.
The heyday of the 4th estate in the U.S. was undeniably Watergate, and the stories surrounding the impeachment of Richard Nixon are more topical than ever. Those stories form the basis of a new Slate podcast, Slow Burn.
This podcast isn’t an instructional booklet on how to impeach (though, if anyone has one, let us know). It’s meant to show how confusing the entire Nixon era was, with no one knowing what would happen from one day to the next.
At the very base of the entire scandal were reporters digging for a story. The story they uncovered, the one that brought down a president, makes for a hell of a podcast.
Hope you like it,
