Atlanta, 1979. Several young black children have been found murdered and several more have gone missing. Police have no clues and the city is in an absolute panic.
Over the next two years, more than 25 kids were kidnapped and murdered in Atlanta. These horrific crimes are the subject of a new true crime podcast Atlanta Monster, which, four decades after the fact, “aims to tell the true story of one of Atlanta’s darkest secrets.”
Interviews with police, family members of the victims, community members who were kids at the time, and countless others help paint a picture of the chaos that reigned in the city during those horrible years.
