Today, Explained

For many people, the Daily — the weekday news podcast from the New York Times — is an essential part of the routine. Wake up, brush teeth, listen to podcast. If you're one of those people, it's time to find another 20-minute window in your calendar: Vox has launched it's own daily news podcast, Today, Explained, with More Perfect's Sean Rameswaram hosting.

The concept of this show isn't rocket science (though they may tackle North Korea): five days a week, Today, Explained runs through the stories dominating the news cycle, and summarizes it in a way you'll not only understand, but actually retain. This podcast is essentially the opposite of 24-hour television news networks; it's the day's stories, condensed into a quick, 20-minute, consumable bite. We hope you enjoy it,
