Finished this season of Narcos? Boy, do we have a good follow-up for you.

El Chapo, the former head of the Sinaloa cartel, is probably the only name more synonymous with the drug trade than Pablo Escobar. The brutal cartel leader is currently on trial in New York City, but while his story is playing out in the headlines, the stories of those affected by the drug war  — on both sides of the border — too often go untold. Vice spent the last year recording those stories for a brand new podcast, Chapo: Kingpin on Trial.

From the families of those killed by the cartel, to Mexican farmers, to El Chapo’s own family members, this podcast strings together some really great, personal interviews to tell the story of the infamous drug lord.

Surprisingly this is Vice’s first foray into podcasting, but we hope it won’t end with these eight episodes.

Have a listen and let us know what you think.
