[Podcast] Hipsters Versus Monsters
To start off this new year, we want to be completely open and honest with you: we dropped the ball. The entire purpose of our newsletter is to share awesome new podcasts with you, and in 2018 we somehow missed Bubble.
It’s time to make things right.
Bubble is a scripted comedy series about a utopian, corporate city on some planet somewhere, filled to the brim with a mixture of hipsters living their overstated lives, and some monsters trying to kill them. It’s basically Portlandia meets Alien meets Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the result made us laugh out loud over and over again.
Maximum Fun’s first scripted podcast series perfectly parodies hipster culture while pulling you into this relatable sci-fi world. The experience is rounded out by some great voice acting from Alison Becker (Parks and Recreation) and Mike Mitchell (Love).
