22 Hours: An American Nightmare is a new podcast recounting the story of what became known as the “Mansion Murders.” This is true crime at its most brutal and violent, and isn’t for the feint of heart. At the very least, though, this is a story with an ending.
The first 10 minutes of episode one is some of the most riveting, stressful audio I’ve ever heard. Using actual recordings from the firefighter walkie-talking communications allows listeners to hear the emotion and surprise in their voice after walking into the crime scene. It's almost surreal to hear it.
