Female comedians have had a regular presence in the two years we’ve been doing Podcast Delivery. First we shared Amy Schumer Presents: 3 Girls, 1 Keith. Then it was Sarah Silverman’s turn, with her Daily Beast show The Last Laugh. And now, it’s the much-loved Margaret Cho’s turn to take a swing at the plate.

The Margaret Cho (admit it, you smirked) sees the comedian and activist sit down for intimate interviews with celebrity friends. These chats only occupy 50% of the podcast though. The other half is dedicated to interviews with lesser known artists that Cho wants the world to discover.

The risk of a celebrity interview show is always that, if the listener doesn’t like the guest they won’t take the time to listen. Cho’s decision to balance episodes between established figures and up-and-coming artists is a smart way of sparking curiosity week after week.

On a side note, this is Podcast Delivery’s 100th email newsletter. We just wanted to take the time to thank everyone who has followed us on this podcast journey. If this newsletter has helped you discover even one new podcast you liked, then our mission has been a success.

Thank you for your support!
