[Podcast] Feist Gives Us a Lesson in Pleasure Studies

Indie musician Feist has taken it upon herself to capture the stories of unique individuals who have lived unique lives, while simultaneously proving that we’re not so different after all.
I was admittedly skeptical going into my first listen of Pleasure Studies — mostly because the show description says it “explores big themes from the tracks of her most recent album” and I thought it might just be a cringey marketing ploy.
Really though, Feist has managed to put together an interview show unlike any other. Except for a quick creative introduction from Feist herself, there is no narrator. The celebrity host isn’t asking any questions. The mic is handed over to compelling people who tell their own stories, their own way, and all these monologues are cut together to show similarities and contrasts, weaving a narrative about the lives we lead.
