Jimi Hendrix is known as an iconic guitarist, a Woodstock alumni, and experienced dabbler in psychedelics. Unfortunately, he may also be the most prominent member of the 27 Club. That iconic collection of superstars who perished before their 30th birthday is the subject of a new podcast from iHeartRadio — the first season of which is entirely focused on the life and death of Jimi.

The style of this podcast is really unlike anything else we’ve heard. It’s part slam poetry session, part Twilight Zone episode.
