In May 2020 Christian Cooper, a Black birdwatcher strolling through The Ramble in NYC's Central Park, pulled out his phone to record a blatant and intentional act of racism. In doing so, we all got to see the world through his eyes for a brief but important moment.

In that one act, we saw how comfortable people have grown being their true selves in front of the camera. Simultaneously, we witnessed just how crucial primary sources are in getting the truth behind the story.

Source Material hasn't covered the Central Park birdwatching incident (yet), but the two episodes that are available are rooted in some of the most prolific events of 2020. Refreshingly, this podcast doesn't have a host which means you always get an unfiltered rundown of major world events, straight from the source. Start off with a first-hand account of what it was like to be on the Princess Diamond Cruise as it ported in Tokyo and enforced a quarantine we'd all eventually come to understand on our own.Have a listen and let us know what you think,
