Menacing. Disturbing. Unsettling. Almost like it can't be real.

In 1980, Allan Bridge created The Apology Line and became "Mr. Apology" as he fielded confessions from people calling into his hotline.

Now, Allan's wife Tina weaves a colourful tale of the hotline setup as a confessional and captures the unsettling chapter of their lives. All it takes is one listen to hear just how high the stakes were. Real recordings from real people calling in to get things off their chest.

Things get interesting when Allan decides to flip the confessions back to the people calling in so they can hear what other confessors have shared before they leave their own message. That change creates a unique dialogue that solidifies Allan's role as the broker of tall tales, ripe confessions, and odd therapies.

All in all, you're delivered 6 episodes about the hotline, it's caller's secrets, and the man behind the machine. That's to be expected though. You'll have to tune in to hear about the book deal and the HBO show because of course there's a book deal and an HBO show.

Have a listen and let us know what you think,
