It's safe to say that Jake Brennan struck gold in 2018 when he launched DISGRACELAND. We were right there to share it with you then and we’re here again now to share its exciting spin-off, BADLANDS.
If you’re a DISGRACELAND fan the format of this podcast is something you’ll be familiar with. The only difference you'll notice is that the subject of each episode isn’t a musician – they’re an infamous Hollywood star with a tragic demise.
Brennan is here to take us through the lives and deaths of Marilyn Monroe, River Phoenix, Bruce Lee, Dennis Hopper, Fatty Arbuckle, John Holmes, and more. Whether you're familiar with the stories of these icons or not, each episode is worth a listen.
BADLANDS also manages to make a bid for your attention as an anthology series. Despite it being an off-shoot, this series has Hollywood in its sights for the debut series while the next will bring the same captivating storytelling and entertainment to some of the more tragic stories that come from another world altogether.
That world? It's the world of sports, but for now you'll need to make a pitstop in HOLLYWOODLAND.
