#193 May 17th, 2021 [The Midnight Miracle]

Every once in a while something so fresh comes along that it really makes you appreciate how personal the medium of podcasting is.

The Midnight Miracle just did that for us because of how thought-provoking it is. But, one thing that stands out the most is that it isn't your run-of-the-mill podcast.

It splices exclusive music (is Black Star finally back!?) and conversation from jam sessions with raw glimpses into the rich lives and experiences of hosts Talib Kweli, Yasiin Bey, and Dave Chappelle.

Each episode delivers raw commentary on life, death, and everything in between with clips from a variety of sources that tie everything together so well you don't even have to try to listen; it just happens. Something in each episode will wash over you with effort but that's not for a lack of depth or creativity.

The Midnight Miracle was recorded during Chappelle’s legendary 2020 Summer Camp where it pulled together Radio Rahim, Mo Amer, Chris Rock, Donnell Rawlings, Jarobi White, Questlove, Lamorne Morris, and Jon Hamm along with archives of Amy Winehouse and Robin Williams to name a few.
