We all like traveling. There’s really no room to debate that after these last few years. Even people who hate traveling like traveling now.

It's easy to want what you weren't allowed to have.

Lucky for us Brendan Francis Newnam brings us Not Lost a show that drops you into those conversations with traveling strangers we're all familiar with. It inherits the premise of Newnam's other podcast, The Dinner Party Download, where he seeks invitations to dinner parties with strangers he just met while traveling through different cities.

Every episode invites you to be a fly on the wall while Newnam and a friend try to get below the surface of their new surroundings. That means you come away with a pretty unique perspective all the while staying Not Lost despite having no real bearings. Take for instance the fly fishing lesson you get to overhear, recorded just outside of Bozeman, Montana or Newnam’s awkward encounters outside of Leonard Cohen's house in Montreal.

At its core Not Lost does well to capture that thing we all convince ourselves we'll do once we find ourselves in a new, unfamiliar part of the world – explore!
