This true crime story is as firery as they come.
Christmas, 1997.
With presents unwrapped and families indulging in the festive spirit, police receive reports of a house fire. After the firefighters put out the blaze, they discover the wife of a local youth pastor dead in her bed.
Investigators deemed Dawn Hacheney’s death an accident—a flash fire sparked from a space heater and holiday wrapping paper from the Christmas gifts the couple had exchanged.
Oh, and a propane tank that was supposedly a gift the two had exchanged.

By all accounts, Nick, a welcoming community leader, and Dawn, a loan officer at a local credit union, had a seemingly perfect union. But, as investigators later found out, Nick had a propensity for having some extramarital affairs and murder.
