Everyone grows up with a dream of making it big, right?

Remember when Metallica’s ever-opinionated Lars Ulrich shared his opinions about downloading music and what it could spiral into if left unchecked?

Truly one of the most iconic PSAs ever.

It turns out Ulrich’s concerns were valid and his message was simply better than his delivery (and maybe his drumming?).

Your everyday consumer simply didn’t care to understand how musicians made money. They wanted an earnest attempt at an entertaining new album every 2 to 5 years so they could add to their collection of cassettes, records, and compact discs with their Columbia House subscription where they could snag 12 hot hits for a cool penny*.
