This week, we’re bringing some salt.
Why?
Because this recommendation got under our skin, and we think it’ll get your pulse pounding too.
Fair warning: if you tune in while looksmaxxing or hardmaxxing, whatever unregulated substances you’ve pumped into your body might start circulating even faster.
The idea of “maximizing” your physical attractiveness by injecting compounds cooked up in overseas labs with questionable quality control is a wild one.
Objectively stupid, even.
If you’re doing any of that, congratulations: you’re already qualified for The Enhanced Games, the upcoming international sporting competition where performance-enhancing drugs aren’t banned, they’re encouraged.
That absurd spectacle is also the focus of SuperHuman, a podcast that moves through a range of perspectives, placing you alongside people driven by ambition, insecurity, desperation, or some volatile mix of all three.

It’s got everything: former Olympians chasing one last shot at glory, underdog athletes hoping for a financial breakthrough, tech bros and scientists claiming to test “the limits of human potential,” and grifters lining up to sell snake oil to anyone insecure enough to buy it.
The fact that this podcast exists tells you a lot about where society is headed.
Still, SuperHuman doesn’t reduce its subjects to caricatures. There’s no shortage of dreams, fears, or deeply human contradictions here, and that’s what makes the whole thing compelling.
At the end of the day, though, these games are a joke.
What the docuseries really exposes are the symptoms of something much larger: a growing subculture of men and boys obsessed with unattainable standards of beauty, optimization, and dominance, all fed by algorithmic insecurity and internet masculinity gurus.
So, all you fragile egos with internet connections, consider yourselves warned. Some of you are about to get convinced you belong in this doped-up wannabe Olympiad.
Thankfully, despite the rage-inducing subject matter, we resisted the urge to start punching ourselves in the face.
That’s bonesmashing, and we’re not stupid enough for any of this.
